Episode 04 - One Last Trip to the Fair

There’s something about the colours of a summer fair.

Blue skies. Bright pink. Orange lights glowing after dark.

And cotton candy, obviously.

When you’re a kid, summer feels like it’s going to last forever. There’s always another hot day. Another trip to the fair. Another sticky handful of cotton candy.

Then somehow, it’s fall.

The mornings are cold. The days are getting shorter. And summer is packing up for another year.

So before we let it go completely, we’re taking one last trip to the fair.

Blue. Orange. Pink.

A little loud. A little ridiculous. And exactly the kind of colour combination that makes you remember being a kid and thinking summer would never end.

One last ride. One last handful of cotton candy.

Then we’ll deal with fall.

THE CAST

THE MAKEUP

At first glance, blue, orange and pink might seem like they have absolutely no business being together.

That’s kind of the fun of it.

The blue gives the look its coolness and keeps everything from getting too warm. Orange brings the heat and makes the blue look even brighter. Then there’s pink, adding that little hit of sweetness and catching the light without making the whole thing too soft.

The colours are bright on their own, but together they feel like a summer fair after dark. Blue sky. Orange lights. Pink cotton candy.

A little loud? Absolutely.

A little ridiculous? Probably.

Exactly what we wanted? Yep.

HOW TO WEAR IT

Think of the eye in three zones:

BLUE — THE LID

Pack blue across the lid, keeping the colour strongest through the centre and outer half. Blend the edges softly so it stays bright without disappearing.

ORANGE — THE CREASE

Sweep orange through the crease and slightly above it, blending it into the blue. Bring a little along the lower lash line if you want to turn up the warmth.

PINK — THE INNER LID

Press pink onto the inner third of the lid and blend it slightly into the blue. This is where the light catches and gives the whole look that sugary summer-fair thing.

For more intensity, apply any of the shades with a damp brush or fingertip. Because apparently we’re at the fair, so we might as well have some fun.

THE RESULT

Bright blue on the lid, vivid orange warming things up, and pink catching the light.

It’s colourful without being precious, a little loud without being completely ridiculous, and basically looks like summer decided it wasn’t ready to leave yet.

Which is kind of the point.

One last trip to the fair. One last handful of cotton candy. One last excuse to wear all the colours at once.
